Literally.
Boom … boom … boom … PORRRHK! … boom … boom … Suddenly an extra beat was remixed into the techno track that keeps Miss Loi alert when she was driving home after a long day of tuition last night. This was followed by an involuntary swerve to the left and Miss Loi had to hold on to the steering for dear life … as her life flashed before her eyes …
Ok enough of exaggerated drama. The sad truth was the psssst sound of her rapidly deflating tyre could still be heard when she stepped out of her car. At that point, Miss Loi was devastated because she knew she was going to miss her 11pm TVB drama on Starhub TV :(.
Being stuck in the middle of nowhere and not really familiar with the intricacies of changing tyres, it didn’t really help when there were not many motorists passing by and a centipede crawled centimeters from her foot. Just when a pack of wild dogs started to howl in the distance, Miss Loi finally managed to call someone to come down and save her!

Took a bit longer than expected coz Miss Loi couldn’t locate the jack! Nonetheless Miss Loi was amazed at how such a puny jack was able to lift such a big fat car!
When the tyre was eventually removed, Miss Loi was finally able to stare at the face of the culprit that caused her demise – a big fat screw head right through the middle! Tsk tsk!

Update: Following a recommendation from a car forum, got it patched this morning at Southern Tyres – an unassuming but friendly little shop at the junction of Woodlands/Choa Chu Kang/Upp Bkt Timah/Bkt Panjang Roads (yes all four roads end here!). Went there coz they are able to patch tyres from the inside compared to most shops who simply plug the holes from the outside. Miss Loi is no expert, but it is said that patching from the inside is safer in the long run.
Miss Loi had a shock when the tyre was dismounted – the cursed screw was almost 3 inches long and had punched right through and hit her beloved 17″ sports rim! She was glad that she had chosen a shop where internal patching is available and the ultra super duper heaviest duty patch was used, else she would have to kiss this particular Eagle F1 tyre goodbye!
On closer inspection, this tyre ‘suicide bomber’ seems to be a kind of safety pin that is used to secure the hatch of some heavy vehicle i.e. it has a hole at one end where a metal ring could have been used to hold it in place. And it’s rather heavy too.
Miss Loi has decided to keep this in her bag so that she can use it to kok the head of any naughty student who never do her homework!

Actually Miss Loi doesn't really remember the titles of the songs - they're your usual eurodance tracks with the catchy melodies and vocals that bring out the ah lians and ah bengs in all of us.
Miss Loi likes their unsophisticated natures that helps her relax (unlike those dunno-how-many-beats/min hardcore trance that gives her a headache) and at the same time keeps her alert on the road.
Speaking of which, she REALLY missed listening to the old WKRZ 91.3 in her car - why must they change into yet another lullabic contemporary music channel (as if we don't already have enough of those!)?
In any case, she went to your blog and discovered this wonderful website imeem.com!
And after checking with her iPod Nano and searching through the site, she thinks this was the track 🙂
