The ema boards adorn
The Temple walls once more.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Mega Jφss Sticks Sessions have commenced for Miss Loi’s O-LEVEL STUDENTS with additional classes in September/October.

As most of the places in these classes have been taken up by her existing students, please contact Miss Loi ASAP if you (or your child) are interested in the limited slots that remain.

The countdown begins.

We shall go on to the end.

We shall mug at The Temple,
We shall mug at the libraries,
We shall mug at the CCs,
We shall stop those computer games, whatever the cost may be,

We shall not gossip the day away,
We shall not grow fat at McDonald’s,
We shall not count aeroplanes at Changi Airport,
We shall not beo the hunk/babe at the next table all day long,
We shall not succumb to the lure of our beds,
We shall not fall asleep before we’re done,

We shall mug at the void decks,
We shall mug at EPL half-time,
We shall mug by the beaches,
We shall mug at Starbucks,

We shall mug with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,
We shall study hard.

WE WILL SCORE A1!!!

Once you’re done with sabotaging/traumatizing/wrecking your Chers in your excuse of a ‘celebration‘ today, may the September holidays herald the final journey of your rehabilitation from the LMBFH Syndrome.

Regardless of the subjects you’re taking,

  • If you haven’t been doing this, now’s the time to get into the habit of bugging going through the TYS, test papers and exam papers with your ‘cher/tutor/subject expert friend.
  • To save your ‘cher/tutor/subject expert friend from a stint of prolonged suffering under you, before you do the above, make sure you’ve organized your notes/worksheets etc. (both physically and mentally) to a point when you have a clear picture of the topics that you’re unsure or weak in.

For O-Level E-Maths students,

  • Don’t only focus on your recent Sec Four topics and neglect the ‘small’ elementary topics from Sec One/Two/Three – remember that marks are spread across everything you’ve learnt in your secondary years, especially for Paper 1.
  • Do focus on major topics like Vectors, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Algebra, Graphs and Statistics, as they tend to carry a lot of marks (especially in Paper 2 – but also appearing in Paper 1 in ‘simpler’ formats).

For O-Level A-Maths students,

Please learn how to walk first with these core topics that you’ll need to know in order to solve parts of many questions:

  1. Quadratic Equations & Inequalities
  2. Logarithms
  3. Indices & Surds
  4. Coordinate Geometry
  5. Simultaneous Equations

Before you start to fly with these major marks-carrying topics:

  1. Differentiation (15~20% of total marks)
  2. Integration (15~20% of total marks)
  3. Trigonometry (20% of total marks)
頑張って!!!
