Hi got to know of your website recently thru sum1. Just a request, can u upload de answers for pure biology paper 1. I can't enjoy de hols without noeing de answers. Can i ask regarding amath if ur final ans is wrong but some parts of your working is correct, will de Cambridge examiners award u marks? -Kel

Amanda, but you know hor ... 我们做女人的 hor ... every woman is different. Menstruation (NOT mensuration - please don't be haunted by Miss Loi and her maths anymore!) can last for as short as 3 days to as long as 7 days. Looking at the diagram above, the infertile period takes place approximately between Day 1 to Day 10 when the uterine lining breaks down and gets repaired slowly again. Ovulation in this period is unlikely until the spongy lining is thick enough i.e. around Day 14, after which fertilisation would be possible. Fertilisation can sometimes take place in the uterus wall too, and if fertilisation occurs on Day 28, the uterine lining is thick enough for attachment of the fertilised egg to itself from which food and oxygen are obtained.

Huh? But then hor, but then hor, eggs can only be fertilized in fallopian tube what. Eggs would only be in fallopian tube at day 14 to 18. So the days for fertilization would be 11 to 21 because sperms can stay alive in the fallopian tube for around 3 days.

So by right both answer would be correct. But I chose day 28 cause it's the first day of mensuration so egg how can get fertilised? (Even fertilised egg also cannot survive cause the uterine lining will be shed)

I didn't chose day 7 because the sperms may stay in the fallopian tube for around 4 days then suay suay the eggs got released early because of stress or whatever leh?

The probability sounds stupid but bleh.
